Full Day Horseback Adventure

Bring your own horse and enjoy a fantastic ride through farming country, whilst also enjoying views of Australia's highest mountain range - including Mt Koscuisko. Includes lunch and afternoon tea.  Must bring a camera and great sense of adventure. Bookings Essential, Available all year

 

Weekend Adventure

Bring your own horse for the weekend and enjoy two days of bush riding.  Visit local bush huts and experience mountain scenery with spectacular views of Mt Koscuisko. Camp under the stars, relax by the camp fire and share in bush yarns.

Harrington's Track

Bring your own horse and ride with us on the famous Harrington's Track. Experience Australia's history as you ride over the old bridle path which is now remembered as Riley's last ride, about a horseman/bushman - Jack Riley of which has been inspired by Banjo Patterson in his poem 'The Man from Snowy River'. A must do ride for all horse and bush lovers, with unforgetable scenery and an experience of a life time riding in Victoria's most untouched High Country.

Group Bookings, Back up drivers required and for experienced riders/horses only. Available October thru to May (depending on the season - weather)

 

Four Day Bush Horseback Adventure

Bring your own horse and ride with us for a four day bush adventure of a lifetime.  Ride bush tracks and bridle paths full of history and adventure.  Breathtaking views of Mt koscuisko and the Snowy Mountains. See local wildlife and fauna.  Relax by the campfire under the stars at night enjoying great hospitality and yarns. Learn bush horsemanship skills including cracking a whip. Ride river crossings and over logs, whilst sharing a partnership with your horse during the four days. Group bookings available from September thru to May.

 

Ride Details

• All riders must sign waiver forms

• Minimum riding age is 10 years

• Riding Helmets (Aus 3838) must be worn by all riders

What To Bring

• Long Pants, long sleeve shirt (jacket depending on season)

• Riding boots, covered shoes, Approved Helmet

• Camera, Diary, Note Book, Swimmers

• Sense of adventure

Horses

• All horses must be shod or used to bush terrain.  Horses must be used to riding with a group and have a reasonable level of fitness depending on the ride duration.  Riders will be responsible for their own horse, whilst Bar M Guides will have the discretion to withdraw a horse or rider if felt not suitable or safe.

 

Inclusions

• All visitors to Bar M enjoy top class camping facilities and horse amenitites.  Access to riding tracks and bridle paths, with or without guides, breathtaking views of Mt Koscuisko and the Snowy Mountains. Local history and knowledge and friendly hospitality.
